Traffic Counting and Monitoring

After a great deal of feedback from residents in the streets around Devonshire Road, connecting to Honor Oak Road and leading to Honor Oak Park, the Forest Hill Society has engaged with Lewisham Council and TfL to see if there are ways to reduce the speed and volume of traffic in this neighbourhood.

To give additional weight to our requests, the Society has decided to conduct a year-long study of traffic on these streets, counting not only cars and vans, but also pedestrians and bikes, to give us an idea of who uses the road, and when.

The Society will be investing in a network of Telraam traffic counting devices, and is looking for volunteers who live on these streets who would be willing to host the device by placing it in a window with a clear view of one of these streets.
