Station planting and garden maintenance
The Environment committee organises regular volunteer-led days where we look after the many planters and flower beds around Forest Hill station, which acts as the closest thing we have to a "town square".
This work has regularly been recognised by the London in Bloom competition that has rewarded us with awards on numerous occasions.
The work involves seasonal maintenance, including weeding, planting and general maintenance of the many plants in front of the station, but also in planters along the station platforms, and at different locations on London Road and Dartmouth Road.

We are always looking for volunteers willing to lend a hand and take up a trowel, spade or secateurs, and wield a watering can with gusto.

If you are interested in joining our next session, look out for details in our "Events" section.
