Communications & Events Committee

It wouldn’t be a society without the opportunity to meet other members and Forest Hill locals. 

The Communications & Events Committee organises a series of social events throughout the year catering to all tastes – from charity quiz nights and cocktail tastings, to book sales and guided walks around SE23 suitable for all the family. 

We also make sure other Society activities are advertised – planting and watering days for the flower displays in and around Forest Hill railway station, the annual station subway cleaning, election hustings – as well as events organised by other local and neighbouring groups.

At the heart of Forest Hill are its many independent shops and businesses - supporting and publicising them is an important part of our role.

When not posting to our many social media followers on Facebook, X (Twitter) and Instagram, we are busy writing and publishing monthly e-Newsletters (including our infamous April Fool’s Day articles) and maintaining this website.

The committee meets every 6-8 weeks online and at the All In One pub in Perry Vale, and new members are always welcome.
